Packing Day and Preparation

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Hearing for Humanity's blog for the 2013 adventure to Malawi, Africa. We are so excited to share this incredible experience with you all and hope you will enjoy reading about our experiences and the people we meet along the way. Our goal is that this blog instills knowledge and understanding of our work in Malawi, and inspires you to engage in humanitarian work, whether it is domestic or international. We also hope that it allows you to experience our travels with us and join in the emotional and educational journal ahead! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this trip possible through donations of supplies and money as well as fundraisers and other forms of support. We would not be here without you. We leave in a short 6 days and are so excited that the trip is finally here! After months and months of preparation, fundraisers, and many many emails our group of 9 finally had our packing day yesterday. We packed 9 action packers full of supplies and still have more supplies arriving this week! Over the next couple days we will be working hard on some last minute to do items and preparing individually to be emotionally and physically ready. Below are some pictures of our packing day. We hope you will follow us over the next 5 weeks and look forward to your comments!
